Nearest Airport: The Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is roughly 10 miles west of the ASU Tempe Campus. If you are not driving, you can get to Tempe and the campus from The 44th Street PHX Sky TrainĀ® Station which is a free and direct connection to Valley Metro Rail, which offers access into Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa.
Uber, Lyft, Waymo: Rideshare services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for most providers. Sky Harbor maps and directions.
Taxi/Cabs: From Sky Harbor airport, cabs are best hired from the north side of Terminals 3 and 4.
Light Rail and Buses: Valley Metro is the public transportation system for the Greater Phoenix Area. The Light Rail connects Tempe to Phoenix. The following light rail stops are particularly noteworthy.
- 44th St and Washington St. | Get on or off here and take the shuttle to and from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. From this station it is eastbound (towards Mesa) to get to the ASU Tempe campus. From downtown Tempe campus, it is westbound to get to this station.
- Mill Ave. and 3rd St | This stop is right in the heart of downtown Tempe, which is the stretch of Mill Ave north of University Dr.
- University Dr. and Rural Rd. | At the eastern edge of ASU campus and a few minutes walk to Goldwater Center.
- Veterans Way and College Ave. | This stop is located within the northern part of the ASU campus.

Parking on Campus

Campus visitors may find that daily or hourly parking best suits their needs. Daily and hourly parking is subject to availability and may be influenced by factors including campus events and construction.
Several daily and hourly parking locations also feature pay-by-app parking through ParkMobile. The Tyler St. garage is the closest visitor parking option near the Goldwater Center for Science and Engineering.
